Norna – Beta Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Norna. By creating an account and using the app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. This version applies to the beta phase of Norna.

1. Beta Version

Norna is currently in Beta, which means the app is still under development and testing. Features may change, be incomplete, or break. Data may be reset or removed during this phase. You use the Beta version voluntarily and understand it may not always work as expected.

2. Purpose of the Beta

The Beta is provided so that we can:

  • Test and improve the product
  • Collect feedback from real users
  • Identify bugs and performance issues
  • Validate features before the full launch

During the Beta, Norna is provided free of charge. When the production version launches, we may introduce paid plans or subscriptions. You will be informed before any payment is required.

3. Your Account

To use Norna, you must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old. We may, at our discretion, suspend or close accounts that:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Violate these Terms or applicable law
  • Abuse or attempt to interfere with the service

4. Data & Privacy (GDPR)

Norna is developed in the EU and follows the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect and process personal data only for legitimate purposes, mainly to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Provide and improve the service
  • Monitor usage, errors, and performance
  • Ensure security and prevent abuse

During the Beta, we may also collect technical and analytical data such as usage patterns, error logs, and device information in order to improve the app.

5. Your GDPR Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”), where applicable
  • Restrict or object to certain types of processing
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

6. Data Storage & Retention

Because this is a Beta, data may not be kept permanently and may be deleted, reset, or modified as we improve the system. We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Norna in a lawful and reasonable way. In particular, you must not:

  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload the service
  • Upload or share malicious, illegal, or harmful content
  • Use the app to violate any law or third-party rights
  • Try to reverse engineer or copy the service for your own product

8. Intellectual Property

All code, design, branding, and content in Norna are the property of Norna and/or its creator, Dylan Alcázar. You are granted a limited right to use the app for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, redistribute, resell, or create derivative products from it without written permission.

9. Availability & Changes

We may modify, pause, or discontinue parts of the service at any time, especially during the Beta phase. We are not responsible for any loss caused by downtime, bugs, or changes to features while the app is being improved.

10. No Warranty

The Beta version of Norna is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. You use the Beta at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of data or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the Beta version of Norna.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and applicable EU law, including GDPR. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Portugal.

13. Acceptance

By creating an account, ticking the acceptance checkbox, and using Norna, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions, including how we handle your data during the Beta phase.
